West Cork Graveyards Database: Search Burial Records Free

The Cork Graveyard project by Skibbereen Heritage Centre has created an online database of:

1. Cork County Council burial registers

2. Graveyard Surveys.

1. Free Burial Records Database

Skibbereen Heritage Centre has transcribed the burial registers for some Cork graveyards, kindly made available to us by Cork County Council. Click on the map below to see the graveyard burial registers and dates covered.

The information made available on this website includes burial details such as name, date of death, date of burial and address. You can also download original burial register pages in PDF format when they are available. Please note Skibbereen Heritage Centre does not hold the registers or any additional information on any these sites, or on other graveyards in the area. For further information on how to find information on burials not listed here please listen to our genealogy podcast.

2. Graveyards Survey

The database also includes the results of a graveyard survey carried out some years ago with the support of the Heritage Council.

The graveyards included in this survey are: Caheragh Old Graveyard,  Caheragh St Mary’s, Drimoleague, Drinagh, Creagh, Kilcoe, Aughadown as well as Abbeymahon and Chapel Lane Graveyards in Skibbereen.
