Using census records, land registers, church records and baptismal, birth, marriage and death records, our in-house genealogist Margaret will help you in your quest to find your West Cork ancestry.

Margaret has over 20 years of experience in helping visitors to find their West Cork ancestors utilising all available records as well as her extensive local knowledge. She is a fantastic point of call and has drawn many visitors to their ancestral home after establishing its location for them.

With in-person consultations on offer to help you with your family history, Margaret can meet and guide you on the best ways to trace your roots.

Consultations need to be arranged prior to your visit (for a charge of €75 for an hour) and you can do so by emailing Margaret directly. As she does not work every day, it is advisable to pre-book your appointment. She may also be able to help you remotely by email (price dependent on the work involved) but please note there is an initial pre-payment of €30 for this service.
