National School Records

School registers include information about pupils’ attendance in national schools and some personal details on each child. The amount of information recorded varies from school to school but generally includes the child’s name, approximate age and year of attendance.
Skibbereen Heritage Centre has created a database of the relevant information contained in some local school registers. Our database also includes records from a surviving medical log of the Baltimore Industrial School.
