The Heritage Centre, a tourist
attraction, is situated in Skibbereen, one of West Cork’s picturesque towns.
From Cork City: Take the N71
road through Bandon and Clonakily, approximately 50 miles.
From Killarney: Take the N71
road via Kenmare and Bantry. Follow the roadsigns to Skibbereen,
approximately 50 miles. |

When in Skibbereen follow the N71
onto Bridge Street. With Baby Hannah’s pub on your left,
continue straight on the narrower road. Do not follow the road
around to the right into Ilen Street. On the narrow road, Upper
Bridge Street, 50 metres to the right is the entrance to the Heritage Centre
and car park.If coming on the Cork Road, take a right at the
first roundabout to follow N71 to Schull and then a left turn at the
next roundabout towards town centre. You then take the first turn
right onto Upper Bridge Street |

Historical Walks |
|
Skibbereen Historical
Walks Escorted evening walking tour of Skibbereen town available
twice weekly. Learn about the history of Ireland via the existing
sites in Skibbereen town. Tour conducted by qualified tour guide.
Adult price €4.50. The tour takes approx 90 minutes. Please
telephone the Centre to reserve a space.
